The predecessor of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 is Irrigation Construction Company 7 established on September 8, 1975 under Decision No. 888 QD/TCCB of the Ministry of Water Resources, on the basis of the Mechanized Construction Team of Zone V , with the task of building irrigation works for agriculture, people's economic livelihoods for the Central and Central Highlands provinces.

On February 3, 1996 Irrigation Construction Company 7 was merged into Construction Corporation 4 and renamed Construction Company 47 according to Decision No. 119NN-TCCB/QD of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
